Learn how to train an Expert using website content, from setup to data scanning, to create an AI that provides accurate, relevant answers to user questions.
In this tutorial you will learn how to train your Expert using a publicly accessible website.
First we need to Edit the Expert.
In the left menu, under Settings, click "Experts".
Next, Find the Expert you want to Edit and click the pencil icon to edit it.
Click the "Data" tab
Click "Web Data" in the menu.
Now, click the "Add Website" button.
In the Website URL field, enter the URL of the website you want to add.
Next, enter any paths to exclude from training. We recommend excluding blogs, as their keyword-rich content can sometimes overshadow more relevant pages.
Click the "Add" button to add the excluded path.
Click “Scan Now” to begin scanning. The time it takes will depend on how many pages the site has and if it includes a sitemap; without a sitemap, the scan may take longer.
Once discovery is complete, and you see a list of Discovered Pages, click "Add to Expert".
Importing and training the Expert on each page takes some time. As each page is processed, it will appear under Discovered Pages. Once a page is listed there, the Expert is trained on its content and can begin using it to answer questions.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully trained your Expert using your website content, making it well-prepared to answer questions. Remember, you can keep improving your Expert by adding, updating, and refining its knowledge over time.
