Introduction

EveryAnswer enables you to customize the embedded version of each Expert to align with your brand or website. This document outlines the settings available to personalize your Expert's design and branding.

Interface Settings

How to Get There

  1. In the left navigation, under settings, click Experts.
  2. From the list of Experts, click the pencil icon on the Expert you’d like to edit.
  3. Click on the Share & embed tab.
  4. Click on the Interface Settings sub-tab.

What You Can Change

Public Expert Name / Logo

  • Public name of Expert, and whether or not to show that name in the header of the UI.
  • Upload a logo to use in the top bar (by default it will use the Expert Image).

Image

  • Can use existing Expert Image or you can upload your own or choose from a library of images provided by EveryAnswer.

Show or Hide

  • Expert Image
  • Introduction (toggles show/hide)
  • Job Title (toggles show/hide, text can be changed on Setting tab)
  • Expert Description (toggles show/hide, text can be changed on Setting tab)
  • Greeting (toggles show/hide, text can be changed on Setting tab)
  • Conversation Starters (toggles show/hide)
  • Powered by EveryAnswer badge (toggles show/hide, cannot be disabled on free "Starter" plan.)

Colors

All interface colors can be customized individually.

Publish Changes

Click the button to save changes on the page.

Restore Default Settings

Click the "Reset to Default" button to restore all settings on the page back to default.

Sharable Link

How to Get There

  1. In the left navigation, under settings, click Experts.
  2. From the list of Experts, click the pencil icon on the Expert you’d like to edit.
  3. Click on the Share & embed tab.
  4. Click on the Sharable Link sub-tab.

What You Can Change

Customize Share Page

  • Share Page Logo (option to upload a logo to replace the EveryAnswer logo on the share page.)

Website Chat

How to Get There

  1. In the left navigation, under settings, click Experts.
  2. From the list of Experts, click the pencil icon on the Expert you’d like to edit.
  3. Click on the Share & embed tab.
  4. Click on the Website Chat sub-tab.

What You Can Change

Customize Chat Bubble

  • Choose Icon (pick from a number of icons for the chat bubble)

Colors

  • Chat Bubble (circular chat bubble that floats on the page)
  • Icon (icon that is on the circular chat bubble)

Sounds

  • Play sound on load (on page load, when the bubble first appears)
  • Play sound on open (when someone taps or clicks the bubble and the chat window opens)

Position

Dropdown options:

  • Bottom Right
  • Bottom Left

Automatically Open Chat Window

Dropdown options:

  • Disable - Do not auto-open chat (default)
  • X seconds (x = a variety of options ranging from 2 seconds to 30 seconds.)

Terms of Service

How to Get There

  1. In the left navigation, under settings, click Experts.
  2. From the list of Experts, click the pencil icon on the Expert you’d like to edit.
  3. Click on the Share & embed tab.
  4. Click on the Terms of Service sub-tab.

What You Can Change

  • Display a Link to Terms (on/off toggle, default on)
  • Customize Terms (on/off toggle, default off)
    • If Customize Terms is on, a WYSIWYG editor appears. It includes the default template of terms but allows you to edit or replace the terms for this Expert.

Workspace (organization-level) and Expert Admins

Will my changes to the logo and interface settings be applied immediately?
Yes, changes made to the logo and interface settings will be reflected immediately on the shareable link page.
What customization options are available for the shareable link page?

Can I hide the "Powered by EveryAnswer" badge?
Yes, you can hide the "Powered by EveryAnswer" badge, but this option is only available on paid plans. For users on the free "Starter" plan, the badge cannot be disabled.
Can I customize the terms of service for my Expert?
Yes, you can customize the terms of service for your Expert. To do this, toggle on the "Customize Terms" option in the Terms of Service tab. This will bring up a WYSIWYG editor with the default template of terms, allowing you to edit or replace them according to your needs.
Why are terms of service important with AI Experts?
Terms of service are crucial when using AI Experts because they outline the legal agreements and guidelines for using the service. AI systems, unlike humans, do not have a sense of judgment and can be manipulated or tricked into actions that might be considered legally binding. Without clear terms of service, there is a risk that the AI could inadvertently agree to conditions or perform actions that could have significant legal implications. By having comprehensive terms of service, users are informed about the limitations and proper use of the AI, protecting both the service provider and the users from potential legal issues. These terms ensure transparency, establish trust, and prevent misunderstandings or disputes, providing a secure framework for interactions with AI Experts.
Is it possible to change the greeting message of my Expert?
Yes, it is possible to change the greeting message of your Expert. You can do this in the Interface Settings tab under the Greeting section. The text of the greeting message can be edited, and you can choose to show or hide it.
Can I customize the colors of the interface?
Yes, you can customize all the interface colors individually in the Interface Settings tab. This allows you to match the Expert’s interface with your brand’s color scheme.
How do I enable or disable conversation starters?
To enable or disable conversation starters, go to the Interface Settings tab and toggle the Conversation Starters option. This allows you to control whether or not to show conversation starters to users.
How can I restore the interface settings to the default values?
To restore the interface settings to the default values, you can use the "Reset to Default" button. This button will reset all settings on the page back to their original default configurations.
Can I upload my own image for the Expert?
Yes, you can upload your own image for the Expert. In the Interface Settings tab, under the Image section, you can choose to use the existing Expert Image, upload your own, or select from a library of images provided by EveryAnswer.
Can I configure the chat window to open automatically?
Yes, you can configure the chat window to open automatically. In the Website Chat tab, use the "Automatically Open Chat Window" dropdown to select from various time options ranging from 2 seconds to 30 seconds. By default, the chat window does not auto-open, and users must click on the floating chat icon to open the chat window if this feature is disabled.
Can I change the position of the chat bubble on the website?
Yes, you can change the position of the chat bubble on the website. In the Website Chat tab, use the Position dropdown to select either the bottom right or bottom left of the page.
Can I enable sounds for the chat bubble?
Yes, you can enable sounds for the chat bubble. In the Website Chat tab, you have the option to toggle sounds on or off for specific actions. You can choose to play a sound on page load (when the chat bubble first appears) and/or play a sound when the chat window opens (when someone taps or clicks the bubble).
Can I customize what shows in the chat window?
Yes, you can customize what shows in the chat window. In the Interface Settings tab, you can control the visibility of the following elements: 1. **Expert Image** 2. **Introduction** 3. **Job Title** 4. **Expert Description** 5. **Greeting** 6. **Conversation Starters** 7. **Powered by EveryAnswer Logo** You can choose to show or hide these elements to tailor the chat window to your branding and user experience preferences.
Can I use a human image for my Expert and present it as a real person rather than an AI?
You can use a human image for your Expert to create a more engaging, personalized experience. However, it is crucial to ensure users understand that the Expert is an AI, even if its appearance suggests otherwise. While you don't have to explicitly declare it as an AI, you should not hide this fact. It is easy for people to be fooled into believing the Expert is a real person, so maintaining transparency is important. If users ask, the Expert will confirm that it is an AI Expert powered by EveryAnswer.
Can I change the font of the text in the chat window?
Changing fonts is not supported for text in the chat window. You can customize colors and other visual elements, but font changes are not available.
Can I use animated images or GIFs for the Expert's profile picture?
Animated images or GIFs are not supported for the Expert’s profile picture. You can upload static images or choose from provided options.
Can I add a custom background image to the chat window?
The option to add a custom background image to the chat window is not available. You can customize interface colors and other elements, but background images are not supported.
Can I change the icon on the Send Message button?
Changing the icon on the Send message button is not supported at this time. The default icon provided by the system will be used, and customization options for this icon are not available.
